I've always enjoyed photographing people. Here are a few black-and-white portraits that I've taken over the years. Each was selected for personal reasons, with an overarching goal of presenting distinctive people in distinctive images.

All of these portraits were originally shot on 35mm, medium format (Hasselblad) or large format b/w film or 4x5 inch Polaroid prints, then scanned for reproduction. What digital photographers might at first think is "noise" is actually film grain--sometimes lots of it.
